Presenters

David Salinger – Australia
Lecture: The sympathetic nervous system and the hair follicle.
David Salinger was the founding director of the International Association of Trichologists and has trained students throughout the world to become qualified trichologists.
After gaining a B. Commerce at the University of Birmingham (UK) and a degree in Human Relations from the London School of Economics, he worked at the University of Southern California to develop the first trichology course outside of the UK.
His main interest has been the influence of the sympathetic nervous system on the hair follicle and he will discuss this topic in Paris.

Dr Pierre Bouhanna – France
Lecture: Trichoscopic and clinical clues in challenging hair transplantation
Dr Pierre Bouhanna is an exclusive hair dermatogic surgeon, director of the Paris University Diploma for scalp pathology and surgery, consultant at the Paris hospital St Louis (Sabouraud), member and teacher in the training comitee of the ISHRS. He has invented and published the phototrichogram, the multifactorial classification, the follicular unit long hair micrograft (FUL). Through the publications of 11 books and more than 140 articles, he has also developed the specific implantation for Africans and Asians and for the beard, the post-radiotherapy alopecia and the newest hair growth research.
In 2015, he has received the prestigious ISHRS Platinium Award.

Dr Yazid Bourezane – France
Lecture: Trichoscopic and clinical clues in challenging hair diagnosis
Dr. Yazid Bourezane is a dermatologist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of scalp diseases. He holds a doctorate in medicine and a master’s degree in biological and medical sciences, with a specialization in dermatology and venereology. He practic in a private clinic in Besançon (France) since 2002. Expert in trichoscopy, he is a member of the French Society of Dermatology and the International Trichoscopy Society. He teaches the trichoscopy module at Paris VI University as part of Dr. Pierre Bouhanna’s University Diploma entitled “Scalp pathology and surgical therapeutics of hair diseases”. Dr. Yazid Bourezane is the author of the french “Practical Atlas of Trichoscopy” and a book of poetry entitled “Poems That Skin Loves.”

Dr Lucas Fustinoni – Brazil/USA
Lecture: How to Lose Weight Without Losing Hair: What Every Trichologist Needs to Know.
Dr Fustinoni obtained his medical degree in Brazil and then obtained further degrees in Dermatology, Nutrition, Biomedicine and Pharmacy. He is a member of the International Association of Trichologists and lectured at our 2023 conference in London. He speaks many languages and has written the book “International Manual of Advanced Trichology”, which has been published in Portuguese and English. Lucas is the creator of the world’s biggest YouTube channel of trichology (Hair Study) with over 128 million views and more than 2 million subscribers. He is the creator of Éclairé Aesthetic Products with more than 40 products sold in several countries.
With the growing popularity of medications like Mounjaro and Ozempic, this topic is especially relevant—there are many ways we as trichologists can support patients during their weight loss journey and help them maintain healthy hair.

Chelcey Salinger – Australia
Lecture: AI for Trichologists and case studies
Chelcey Salinger IAT is a consultant trichologist at the Australian Trichology Centre, Sydney and Adelaide, Australia.
Chelcey is the executive director of the International Association of Trichologists (USA). She is involved in the education of Trichologists, tutoring students all over the world and supervising the clinical training of students in Australia. She has lectured at Trichology Conferences in Brazil, Canada, Iceland, England and Dubai. Chelcey’s professional opinion and insights on hair and hair loss are regularly sought by magazines and media and as an expert witness in legal cases involving hair loss or breakage.
Chelcey has a strong background in health. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Movement and Health Studies, a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, is a qualified Trichologist and is a member of the International Association of Trichologists.

Eva Proudman – UK
Lecture: Diagnose First, Treat Second, Maintain Always
Eva is a Fellow of the Institute of Trichologists (UK), a past Chairperson of IoT, and a member of the International Association of Trichologists. She lectured at the IAT conference in Iceland and Dubai. Eva runs a number of trichology clinics across the UK. She has also developed a range of science led professional Trichology products that are exclusive to the trade (never on Amazon etc). Eva also gives clinical training to IAT students.

Dr Ademir Leite Jr – Brazil
Lecture: The Role of Cosmetic and Regenerative Technologies in Hair Care
Physician, Writer, and Speaker. Dr Ademir Leite Junior is Trichologist certified by the International Association of Trichologists (IAT) Member of the IAT Board. He holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and is Scientific Director of Dr. Ademir Júnior Clinic and Ademir Júnior Institute Director of São Paulo Scalp & Skin Lab. Dr Ademir Leite Junior also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Brazilian Journal of Hair Health

Caroline Ruggiero – Canada
Lecture: Differentiating LPP, FFA and CCCA and unmasking their mimickers
Caroline is a Certified Trichologist and the CEO of Truly You Hair and Scalp Clinic in Toronto, Canada. Caroline received her trichology certification through the International Association of Trichologists (IAT) and is proud to sit on the board with the I.A.T. – a global leader in trichological research and education. She also studied at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition (IHN), and completed the IAHM (Italian Academy of Hair Microscopy) Polarized Microscopy Technician course, and the EBHF (Evidence Based Fellowship) Program, designed and instructed by world renowned dermatologist and hair expert Dr. Jeff Donovan. Caroline is also the President of the Canadian Hair Loss Council (CHLC), a non-profit organization she co-founded in the effort to provide information, resources and education to both hair loss professionals and people experiencing hair loss and scalp disorders. As an advocate for trichological education in Canada, Caroline developed the Truly You Academy which offers education and training to industry professionals in trichological sciences. As Academy Director and Educator, Caroline is proud to be the instructor for the IAT’s Hair Practitioner Certificate Course (HPCC), with sessions available across Canada. She also gives clinical training to IAT students. Caroline is so humbled to have been a recipient of the 2022 Ronald Salinger Award for her contribution to the advancement of trichology worldwide. It is truly a testament to her ongoing lifelong mission to have Trichology acknowledged as a respected science in Canada and the world.

Dr Amy Vowler – UK
Lecture 1: HRT and Hair: Understanding Which Regimens Support Hair Health
Lecture 2: Hormonal Hair Loss in Women: What Clinicians and Trichologists Need to Know
Dr Amy Vowler is a dual-trained General Practitioner and Hair Restoration Specialist with a passion for evidence-based, holistic care in hair and scalp health. She has trained extensively in hair transplantation, completing the ISHRS Basics Course and advanced mentorships under Professor Gambino in Italy and Dr Nicole Rogers in New Orleans. In addition, she holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Hair Science and has undertaken further specialist training in menopause medicine.
Dr Vowler runs her own clinic, Hair GP, in London, where she supports both men and women experiencing hair loss through a comprehensive approach that combines medical assessment with hormonal optimization, scalp and gut microbiome balance, and healthy hair care practices. Alongside her NHS work, she brings together the best of medical and trichological expertise to deliver truly patient-centred care.
Her special interest in hormonal health enables her to guide women through the complex stages of PCOS, perimenopause and menopause—bridging the gap between trichology and general medicine. She finds it immensely rewarding to help patients restore not only their hair, but also their confidence and overall wellbeing.

Botlhale Tshetlo – South Africa
Lecture: Considerations for African hair
Botlhale Tshetlo is an IAT Certified Trichologist and Cosmetic Chemist based in Johannesburg, South Africa. She holds a BComm degree in Economics and a Diploma in Central Banking, which preceded her transition into the hair and cosmetic science industry.
Botlhale is the founder of Hairtural (a natural hair salon), Autum (a retail store for Afro-textured haircare products and accessories), and the Trichology Society of South Africa (TSSA). She has formulated five hair care brands comprising 23 products and is dedicated to advancing best practices for African hair through trichology and innovative formulation.
